Pie Ride

When the weather starts getting warm and no one feels like riding hard, it’s time for a Pie Ride.

00AM
Ready to Start, Monterey 8:00AM

Heading north on the bike path near Marina

A bank of blooming mustard near Castroville

Elkhorn Slough

Approaching the Pajaro River

Berry Tents beside the road mean we’re almost there

OK, we decided to spare you the sight of two dozen cyclists wolfing down way too much pie and ice cream. It wasn’t pretty. This is us wobbling away from the Gizdich Ranch pie shop, afterwards.

Entering Watsonville

Cruising the Springfield Terrace

Back in Monterey, it’s time for another snack

Total miles: 81 (by the time we got home)

Total calories: Don’t ask
