The heavy forest that gave this camp (situated on the upper reaches of Danish Creek) its name has taken a tremendous beating from fires and disease over the past few decades, yet the camp retains its popularity – particularly with hunters. It’s an 8 mile walk from Los Padres Dam via Blue Rock Ridge.
